Police Department Modernizing with Power DMS System

At its meeting on May 4, the City Council approved the purchase of a Power DMS system for the Sanford Police Department at an annual cost of $7,974.25, which includes periodic updates. The funds for the system will come out of the Department’s operating expenses in the 2021-2022 budget, and in future years would be included in the contract services budget. The Sanford-Springvale YMCA’s Camp Marland is taking registrations now for their summer camp for kids entering kindergarten through ninth grade. There are 11 one-week sessions beginning June 14 and ending August 27. The main Camp, for boys and girls entering second through seventh grades, is located on 30 acres at Bunganut Lake Park in Lyman. On Friday, April 23, a call for a domestic disturbance on Charles St. resulted in a 33-year-old Sanford resident being summonsed for criminal mischief. Later that day, another summons for criminal mischief was issued to a 62-year-old Portland resident after a Main St. disturbance.
