If you’ve noticed the new mural being painted on the wall across from Gateway Park, it’s a collaboration between Project CommUnity and Sanford Community Adult Education. The mural is 207 feet long and is the result of years of planning and design. Covid Update: September 30

At his regular press briefing on Tuesday, September 29, Dr. Nirav Shah of Maine CDC announced that Covid-19 tests had been conducted at Sanford High School on Friday and Saturday, and all results were in. There were only three new positive cases detected out of the 905 tests, making a total of 18 cases now in the SHS/SRTC outbreak. School Committee Candidates: Emily A. Sheffield

At the November 3 election, Sanford and Springvale voters will elect two School Committee members to three-year terms. The three candidates are Paula T. Cote, Amy Turgeon Sevigny and incumbent Emily A. Sheffield. Kendra Williams is not seeking reelection. Emily Sheffield has lived in Springvale for 13 years and is the mother of two young adults.
