Scarecrow Contest & Family Fun

The Sanford-Springvale YMCA is hosting a scarecrow contest! Families and businesses are welcome to enter a scarecrow to be judged. Pick up your scarecrow frame at the Y, and return it completed prior to Saturday, October 31. All the scarecrows will be put on display for the Y's Family Fun Event that day. City Council 10/20 Meeting Summary

The Sanford City Council held its regular meeting on Tuesday, October 20. The following items were among those presented or discussed: The Mayor, Councilors and City Manager all gave kudos to City Clerk Sue Cote and her staff for the way early voting and absentee voting have progressed so smoothly. City to Pursue Legal Action Against Owners of Blanchard Rd. Property

On October 20, the City Council voted unanimously to authorize Code Enforcement Officer Jamie Cole to serve civil process on Joseph T. Dunican and Ashley Carruthers, owners of the property at 277 Blanchard Road in Springvale. The property has been the subject of numerous complaints by neighbors for the past year.
