The lines were long at Sanford and Springvale polling locations before doors opened at 7:00 a.m. City Clerk Sue Cote opened the polls an hour earlier than usual, due to the expected heavy turnout. YCSP Food Pantry Anticipating High Demand for Thanksgiving Meals

Last year the pantry gave out 920 boxes of food to individuals and families through its Thanksgiving Basket Program. Covid Update: October 30

Covid-19 cases are surging across the country, and Maine is not immune. At his regular press briefing on Thursday, October 29, Dr. Nirav Shah, Director of Maine CDC, announced a new one-day high of 80 new cases in the state.
