Sanford UU Church Wins Stuff the Bus Award

This year's Stuff the Bus Maine's campaign was profoundly affected by Covid. They could not hold their usual supply donation drives at Walmart. In prior years, these drives accounted for 90 percent of Stuff the Bus Maine’s supplies collection, which is used to help an estimated 4,000 York County students. Wanda Parent, the organization’s Director, was contacted by the Strategies for a Stronger Sanford program, and encouraged to apply for a grant through the Sanford Unitarian Universalist Church’s Covid-19 relief…

Governor Mills has announced a new $40 million economic recovery grant program to support Maine tourism, hospitality, and retail small businesses. Covid-19 Update: November 29

On Wednesday, November 25, Superintendent of Schools Matt Nelson announced cases of Covid-19 had been diagnosed in individuals associated with Sanford High School, Sanford Middle School, Carl J. Lamb School, Margaret Chase Smith School and Sanford Regional Technical Center. No additional school closings have been announced.
