Arrests & Summonses: June 10-12

On Thursday, June 10, following a motor vehicle stop at School and Jackson Sts., a 47-year-old South Berwick resident was summonsed for a suspended registration. Two other summonses were issued that day for motor vehicle stops on Main St. and Hutchinson St. Friday, June 11, was a very busy day for the Sanford Police Department. Fire Department Log

For the week ending 6/12/21 Sanford Fire Department’s Engine 4 responded to a fire on Sherburne St. June 6. The cause was homemade candles left burning unattended, which smoked and set off an alarm. Firefighters had to force entry into the apartment to extinguish the blaze and prevent a larger incident. Fortunately, no one was injured or displaced.
