Changes Would Provide for Enforcement of Unpaid Tickets A proposal by the Sanford Police Department to provide an enforcement mechanism for unpaid parking tickets will go to the City Council for a public hearing next month. Police Log Digest: March 27 – April 2, 2022

On Sunday, March 27, a summons was issued to a 23-year-old Sanford resident following a disturbance on Washington St. The charges were criminal mischief and violating condition of release. Fire Log: March 16-31, 2022

Smoke & Fires On March 17, seven units responded to a cooking fire on Whitcomb Ave., caused by someone boiling down maple syrup. The garage filled with smoke but the fire was confined to the container. Smoke was reported on Main St. on March 18, but was determined to be from an outside source. Robotics Team Award Congratulations to SRTC's Team 3451 (pictured above) for winning the Creativity Award at this weekend's FIRST Robotics event, held in Durham NH. The team, which goes by the moniker The ANOMALY, competed against 39 other teams from Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Maine.
