The Sanford Planning Board met January 4, 2023. All members were present. It was the first meeting for newly appointed members Jace Clarke, who previously served on the Board, and Kyle Landry, who was previously a member of the Zoning Board of Appeals. City Council 1/3 Meeting Summary

The Sanford City Council met January 3, 2023. Councilor Jonathan Martell was absent with notice. The meeting began with the Council accepting the resignation of Councilor Becky Brink. Our neglect/abuse calls for service dropped in 2022 and far fewer of our four-legged residents have found themselves in our care. A multi-family home at 46 Elm St. in Sanford was severely damaged by fire late Tuesday night, but no injuries were reported. 11-year-old Matthew Perkins smelled the smoke even before smoke detectors went off, and quickly alerted his family.
