Vacancy on City Council to be Filled by Special Election

At its meeting on April 5, 2022, the City Council voted unanimously to hold a Special Municipal Election to fill the vacancy left by the passing of Councilor John Tuttle. The Special Election will be held on June 14, at the same time as the School Budget Referendum and the Democratic and Republican primaries. In the race for City Council, former School Committee and Budget Committee member Becky Brink was the largest vote getter with 2,271, and will be sworn in to the Council in January. Incumbent Ayn Hanselmann has been re-elected for a second term with 1,692 votes.
