The Salvation Army is partnering with Walmart for their annual Angel Tree Registry, which provides new clothing and toys to more than one million children and families in need each year. To register your children up to age 12 for the program, fill out an application at the Salvation Army office on Main St. in Sanford. The goal is to put together 100 “Boxes of Joy” filled with holiday goodies to be delivered to the families participating in their weekly backpack program. Biden, Collins win Sanford/Springvale vote

Sanford and Springvale voters chose Joseph Biden by a slim margin over Donald Trump in Tuesday's election. The ultimate winner of that race has not yet been determined. Susan Collins had a larger level of support over Sara Gideon, and Ms. Gideon has conceded in that race.
