New Flight School Opening at Airport

A new flight school, BDF Air, is coming to the Sanford Seacoast Regional Airport. The school will offer training and certification to pilots who want to fly multi-engine aircraft. The company’s Beechcraft Duchess plane will be housed in the former city hangar. Airport Manager Allison Navia told the City Council’s Property Subcommittee on Tuesday that BDF Air will fit in well with the Airport’s other offerings. BMV Update

The Springvale Bureau of Motor Vehicles office will likely not be reopening until mid-November. According to Kristen Muszynski, Communications Director for the Secretary of State’s office, a decision on a reopening date will be made after October 20. In the meantime, the Kennebunk office, which is currently open by appointment only, will begin accepting walk-in traffic after September 29.
