Flu Clinics for Sanford Students

Sanford schools will host influenza vaccination clinics following COVID-19 safety guidelines at each school this fall. They are collaborating with Northern Light Home Care and Hospice to provide these free clinics to Sanford students. See the schedule below. Parents of in-person learners must return their child’s completed vaccination form to their school nurse by Monday, October 19th.  Distance learners must pre-register for their vaccinations here and bring the completed vaccination form with them to the clinic.   All clinics will administer injectable vaccines.…

Razor Blades in Pizza Dough Found at Sanford Hannaford in August

The Portland Press Herald and Bangor Daily News are reporting that two packages of Portland Pie Co. pizza dough purchased at the Sanford Hannaford store in mid-August were found to contain razor blade fragments. In one case, the customer returned the dough to the store, and in the other, just a fragment. Sanford Firefighters Association Local 1624 is selling t-shirts and face masks to raise money for cancer research/prevention/treatment again this year. Proceeds stay in our local community. High-Speed Internet Survey

Would enough customers sign up for a super-fast broadband/internet service in Sanford-Springvale to make it self-sustaining? The City has secured a grant to start the process for residential broadband/internet service. Through this grant, the City has hired a market research company to gauge public demand for the expansion of SanfordNet Fiber, your community broadband network.
