Sanford’s Successful BRIDGE Program May Expand

At the School Committee’s December 21 meeting, Special Education Director Stacey Bissell gave a presentation on the BRIDGE program, which is now in its ninth year. BRIDGE stands for Building Resiliency, Integrity, Determination and Growth through Education. The program serves Sanford students with behavioral issues or psychological disabilities that interfere with learning. Latest Covid Data & Vaccine Update

In the latest data available from Maine CDC, cases of Covid-19 in Sanford and Springvale continue to increase at a rapid pace, although the number of new cases this week is not as great as last week. With data as of December 20, there are now a cumulative total of 515 cases of the virus in our community, with 418 in Sanford and 97 in Springvale. This represents an increase of 69 total cases, compared to 82 last week. It…

Holiday Publication Schedule

Due to the Christmas and New Year holidays, we are altering the Sanford Springvale News publication schedule as follows: The print and printable editions will not be published on Friday, 12/25 and 1/1. Instead, there will be one issue for that two-week period, published on Monday, 12/28. The email edition, normally sent on Fridays and Sundays, will be Sunday only for the next two weeks.
