Arrests & Summonses: March 5-11

On Friday, March 5, Sanford Police were called to High St. to assist another agency. A 32-year-old Sanford resident was arrested on a warrant. Saturday, March 6, after a call to Shaw St. for a domestic disturbance, officers arrested a 37-year-old Sanford resident on multiple charges, including domestic violence assault with a prior, violating condition of release, and unlawful possession of a scheduled drug, as well as an outstanding warrant. Planning Board Approves Solar Facility at Former CGA Site

On March 3, the Planning Board approved a new solar power facility on three parcels of land at 229 New Dam Road. One parcel is the former CGA site, which was taken by the City of Sanford in 2010 for back taxes. The other two parcels are owned by the Maine Turnpike Authority.
