Councilor Jonathan Martell led the Pledge of Allegiance and the moment of silence. School Committee 3/15 Meeting Notes

Construction Update Superintendent of Schools Matt Nelson went over the latest updates on legal issues surrounding the construction at Sanford High School. The School Department has been sued by the contractor, Warren Mechanical, over a dispute with a subcontractor. It will likely go to arbitration. The construction at Pride Elementary is still behind schedule, but the contractor has been asked for a plan to catch up. Sanford Students Back in School 4 Days a Week

Sanford High School is planning now for graduation ceremonies to be held in June at Alumni Stadium. As things stand now, the students will be on the field, physically distanced and separated from the audience who will be in the stands. Attendance will most likely be restricted, but by how much is uncertain at this time. Spring sports at SHS are expected to start on time, if the weather cooperates.
