Come support the Landscape & Horticulture program at SRTC at their Plants Plus Sale next week. They will have herbs, vegetables, flowers & houseplants in one big sale. All plants and products are created by the students. The sale runs Monday 5/24 through Friday 5/28 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., and Saturday 5/29 from 9:00 to noon. City Council 5/18 Meeting Summary

Councilor Bob Stackpole led the pledge of allegiance and asked for a moment of silence. In her report, Mayor Anne-Marie Mastraccio said the proposed revisions to the Council’s Rules and Order of Business, which had been debated at the previous meeting, did not pass the legal review, so the document is not ready for approval. Three Sanford Properties Declared Dangerous

At the City Council meeting on May 18, public hearings were held to determine if three properties in Sanford meet the requirements for the city to declare them dangerous buildings. The first property discussed was 18 Winter St., a duplex which has been vacant for many years. It has been owned by Bradley Estabrook of Laconia, NH, since 2004. Volunteers Needed for Goodall Brook Clean-Up

Prior to the start of alteration work to the stream channel to be done by environmental contractors later this year, the Steering Committee overseeing the restoration of Goodall Brook is seeking community volunteers to help with a general clean-up on Wednesday, May 26 of two of the intended worksites.
