On Thursday, June 10, following a motor vehicle stop at School and Jackson Sts., a 47-year-old South Berwick resident was summonsed for a suspended registration. Fire Department Log

For the week ending 6/12/21 Sanford Fire Department’s Engine 4 responded to a fire on Sherburne St. June 6. The cause was homemade candles left burning unattended, which smoked and set off an alarm. Firefighters had to force entry into the apartment to extinguish the blaze and prevent a larger incident. Fortunately, no one was injured or displaced. Never Alone: Sanford Veteran Laid To Rest

When Sanford resident Richard Burgess passed away in April, it was discovered that he had no family to bury him. But, as a U.S. Army veteran, Mr. Burgess had an extended family of veterans and supporters ready and willing to step in to give him a proper sendoff.
