City Council 8/3 Meeting Summary

The Sanford City Council held their regular meeting on August 3. Councilors John Tuttle and Ayn Hanselmann were absent with notice. Mayor Anne-Marie Mastraccio began the meeting with the Pledge of Allegiance and a moment of silence. In her report, she thanked everyone present for complying with her request to wear a mask. Delta Variant May Push City Committees Back to Zoom

At its meeting on August 3, the Sanford City Council reviewed and discussed amendments to its Rules and Order of Business. Zoning Change Proposed for Former Nasson Dorms

The Site Plan Review Committee and Planning Board this week both recommended approval of a proposal to rezone three properties in Springvale from Single Family Residential to Urban. The properties include R5-91 and R5-94, located off Summer St., on which are several buildings that served as dormitories for Nasson College from the time they were built in the 1960s until the College closed in 1983.
