Sanford Recreation’s Spartan Travel Boys 7th grade team fared well at the 23rd Annual Holiday Hoops Tournament this past weekend, winning the Championship. Coaches Cory Adams and Adam Cote were proud of the effort and determination by the boys on the team. On Sunday, December 12, Sanford Police took a 31-year-old Sanford resident into custody on an outstanding warrant, following a motor vehicle stop at Tebbetts Ave. and Johnson St. A motor vehicle stop at River and High Sts. resulted in an 18-year-old Sanford resident being summonsed, no charge listed, and a stop on Main St. led to a summons for a 22-year-old North Berwick resident for operating without a license.
