On June 14, 2022, Sanford and Springvale voters will go to the polls for three separate elections: The School District Budget Validation ReferendumThe Democratic and Republic primaries for state and county officesThe Special Election to fill the vacant City Council seat You may call the City Clerk's Office at 324-9125 to request an absentee ballot for the election or request one online here. The City Council’s Public Safety Subcommittee met Tuesday, May 10, 2022. School Committee 5/9 Meeting Summary

The Sanford School Committee met May 9, 2022. Jen Davie was absent; all other members were present. There were no public comments. Committee Reports Construction: Superintendent of Schools Matt Nelson reported that discussions are continuing to close out the SHS/SRTC construction project. The Core Building Committee was finally able to tour Sanford Middle School, Margaret Chase Smith School and Sanford Pride Elementary, and members were very pleased and happy with the results. Sanford High School "Decision Day" at SHS was on Friday, May 6, 2022. Seniors could announce their decision for after graduation and pose for photos.
