Firefighters Memorial Ceremony Set for October 16

The Sanford Springvale Call Firefighters will hold a memorial ceremony October 16, 2022 to remember fallen members from Sanford and other local Fire Departments. Five Properties Declared Dangerous Buildings

At its meeting on October 4, 2022, the Sanford City Council voted to declare five properties in the City as Dangerous Buildings under state law, following separate hearings. The first four properties, which are all vacant, were adjudged dangerous or a nuisance by unanimous vote, while the Council split 4-2 on the last one, which is occupied.
