Covid-19 Case at Middle School

The Sanford School Department announced that an individual associated with Sanford Middle School tested positive for COVID-19 on Saturday, November 14.  There is a possibility that staff or students came in contact with this individual and were exposed to the virus. SHS/SRTC News Sanford High School / Sanford Regional Technical Center is scheduled to be a voting site for the upcoming Presidential election, so there will be no in-person learning on Tuesday, November 3. School Nurses Give Presentation

Sanford’s five school nurses gave a joint presentation via Zoom at the October 19 School Committee meeting. Amy Humphrey, RN, from Carl J. Lamb School, explained that school nurses aren’t just nurses who work in schools; it’s a specialty like cardiac or emergency nursing, that requires special training. School Sports & Activities Get the Green Light

This was an additional, interim assessment; government agencies will resume their normal bi-weekly review next Friday.
