Arrests & Summonses: June 4-9, 2021

Update on Police Department Activities

At the City Council’s Public Safety Subcommittee meeting on June 8, Deputy Police Chief Craig Andersen presented an update on some of the Sanford Police Department’s recent activities. He started off with an update on the May 5 fire on Spruce St. Police officers responded at 3:30 a.m. and assisted with evacuating residents. Fire Department Log: May 23-29

On Monday, May 24, Sanford firefighters responded to a report of a resident burning on a "high fire danger" day. It turned out a permit had been issued in error, and the resident extinguished the fire. Tuesday, May 25, Engine 4 was called to a mulch fire at the Center for Shopping in South Sanford.
