There were no arrests or summonses on Saturday, May 29. Motor vehicle stops throughout the day resulted in several warnings being issued. The Department also responded to a stolen vehicle report on High St., a disturbance on Butler St. in Springvale, and other calls.
On Sunday, May 30, Sanford Police arrested a 57-year-old South Hiram resident at a June St. address, on an outstanding warrant. Also that day, a 55-year-old Waterboro resident was summonsed for theft by unauthorized taking or transfer and violating condition of release, after an officer responded to a report of shoplifting on Main St. Summonses were also issued following a motor vehicle stop at Heritage Crossing and High St.; and again at Heritage Crossing while Sanford Police assisted another agency.
Monday, May 31, a 54-year-old Sanford resident was summonsed for theft by unauthorized taking or transfer after a report of shoplifting on Main St.
The Police log records an arrest made on Tuesday, June 1, while Sanford Police assisted another agency on Main St.. No details were given. A motor vehicle accident on Hanson Ridge Rd. in Springvale that evening resulted in a summons being issued to a 25-year-old Sanford resident for operating under the influence with a prior. Sanford Fire and EMS also responded to that call.
Wednesday, June 2, a 26-year-old Sanford resident was summonsed for violating condition of release following a disturbance on Main St.
On Thursday, June 3, a summons was issued to a 27-year-old Sanford resident for operating without a license, following a motor vehicle stop at School and Mousam Sts. Another summons was issued after a stop at Hanson Ridge Rd. and Cornfield Dr. in Springvale, no details given.
