Winterfest is Coming!

Sanford Parks & Recreation is sponsoring Winterfest on Saturday, February 13 from 7:30 a.m. to noon, with tons of activities for the whole family. The celebration kicks off with a free Youth Ice Fishing Derby on Number One Pond. Some SMS, Willard Classes Go Remote Due to Covid

Superintendent of Schools Matt Nelson announced Friday and Saturday that some classes at Sanford Middle School and Willard School will go on remote learning this week after exposure to individuals who have tested positive for Covid-19. A Covid-positive individual at SMS was in school on Monday, January 4. Due to quarantine requirements, Learning Community #3 (LC 3) will be going full remote for a short time, effective immediately. The City Council's first meeting of the new year was devoted to a number of administrative matters, in addition to other business. Board and Committee Appointments

The City Council approved the appointments listed below for city boards and committees at its January 5 meeting. There was considerable discussion about the Planning Board and Budget Committee appointments.
