On Sunday, June 13, an arrest was made while Sanford Police were assisting another agency on Main St. No details were given. Monday, June 14, a report of vandalism on Mousam St. in Springvale led to a 76-year-old Springvale resident being summonsed for criminal mischief. Sanford firefighters past and present gathered to celebrate the life of George Driscoll, retired Chief of the Sanford Fire Department, following his funeral on June 19. He became a firefighter in 1961, Chief in 1970, and retired from the Department in 1982. He was also a devoted member of St. George’s Episcopal Church. He passed away on June 12 at the age of 92.
