At its meeting on September 1, the Sanford Planning Board voted 6-1 to approve a new solar power project on land off of Blanchard Road in Springvale. The property, owned by Hazen and Constance Carpenter, was a Christmas tree farm for many years until it ceased operation in 2015. Sanford Vaccine Clinic Reopens

York County Emergency Management Agency reopened the COVID-19 vaccine clinic at the former Marshall's store at the Center for Shopping in South Sanford on Tuesday, September 7. The clinic, located at 1364 Main St., will operate Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1:00 to 7:00 p.m., and beginning September 18, the clinic will add weekend hours on Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.   The former retail store was converted into a high-volume vaccination center last spring in partnership with the…
