The latest data on the Covid-19 pandemic shows a slight decline in new cases in our community in the past week, after sharp increases the previous few weeks. There have now been a total of 1,619 cases of the virus in Sanford, and another 379 in Springvale, for a total of 1,998. ReinCorp to Build Downtown Apartment Complex

On September 15, the Sanford Planning Board gave preliminary approval to ReinCorp of Springvale to construct Central Park Residences, a 30-unit apartment complex at the corner of School and Bodwell Sts., in the heart of downtown. The 30 market-rate apartments will all be one-bedroom units, and will be marketed to seniors as well as young professionals. The complex will include two 12-unit buildings, and one 6-unit. Crystal Athletic Training Facility Approved

At its meeting on September 15, the Planning Board gave conditional approval to an application by 4Square, LLC for a new development at 414 Alfred Rd., near the intersection with Grammar Rd.
