Smitty's Cinema will be showing a special screening of the 2014 Ukrainian film The Guide through March 30. In this movie, American boy Peter and blind minstrel Ivan are thrown together by fate amidst the turbulent mid-1930s Soviet Ukraine. A film about the Russian atrocities committed on Ukrainians in the 1930s that are very similar to what is going on today.
