On December 11, the Thomas W. Cole – Post #19 held the American Legion High School Oratorical Contest to determine the representative for the Post in the District #1 - Regional Contest. The contest, which has been held since 1938, focuses on various aspects of the US Constitution. The Sanford High School Wrestling Team took 6th place out of 27 scoring teams at the Noble Invitational on December 28.  Kyle Nickerson placed 2nd, Luke Callis 3rd, James Blood 1st, and Mason VanGeison 4th in individual weight classes. Kennebunk Savings put a bow on 2021 with $27,000 in donations to area food pantries and meal programs.
