Plant Sale: The Landscaping and Horticulture program at the Sanford Regional Technical Center is jumping into spring with a plant sale the week of May 9 to May 14. The green house is stocked and ready to sell vegetables, herbs and flowers, as well as house plants and flowering hanging pots. The plant sale will be held during school hours from 8:15 to 1:00 and an hour longer  on Tuesday and Thursday until 2:00. The greenhouse will also be open…

Scouting News: May 5, 2022

Girl Scout Troop 2085 from Sanford recently completed a baking competition to earn a baking badge that they designed themselves. This competition, held at the Sanford Elks Lodge, was the culmination of nearly two months of learning and teaching each other about baking. The girls (pictured above) are Girl Scout Cadets in grades 6 and 8. The girls started this badge with kitchen safety and cleanliness, then learned about the common different baking ingredients.
