Schools Consider Banning Student Cell Phones

By Kendra Williams The Sanford School Committee took a first step on Aug. 19 toward prohibiting student use of cell phones during the school day. It held a first reading on a proposal that still faces more discussion, surveys of students, parents, teachers and administrators, and a second reading before it can be approved.
