The Sanford School Committee met June 6, 2022. Committee member Jen Davie was absent, all others were present. There were no public comments. Committee member Jonathan Mapes reported that he and Superintendent of Schools Matt Nelson have been invited by the Charter Review Committee to participate in the public hearing this Thursday, June 9. Civil War Veteran Stephen Farnham's new gravestone was dedicated at the Farnham-Dorr Cemetery in South Sanford earlier today. The flag was carried by Civil War reenactor Leo DeJune, and folded by Bruce Knight and Jessica Violette of Rolling Thunder. Kathy Wainwright, Mr. Farnham's great-grand niece, unveiled the new stone. Congratulations to Dylan Graffam for making his way through the 46-entry singles tournament and capturing this years House Championship trophy at Bowl-a-Rama.
