Sanford Water District Fall 2022 Flushing Schedule

The Sanford Water District flushes its water mains twice a year to clear any build up of iron in the water mains.  The flushing is carried out between the hours of 10:00 pm and 5:00 am so as to minimize any inconvenience that may be caused by the off color water during the flushing of the water mains. Members of the Southern Maine Sno-Goers snowmobile club worked hard last Sunday on the Springvale Farm Trail. Jim Roux, Stephen Givens, Daniel Thayer, and Chris Letourneau cleared a wet section of the trail that had become very over grown and where groomers have gotten stuck in the past. Clinical Social Worker Joins the Mental Health Unit

The Sanford Police Department recently welcomed a new member to its Mental Health Unit, which primarily works to help homeless people and those with substance abuse problems in our community. Shannon Bentley is a clinical social worker who will focus in particular on getting unhoused residents and those in crisis the services they need.
