Title 40 of the Code of Federal Regulations of The United States Environmental Protection Agency Part 403.8(f)(2)(viii) requires that the Sanford Sewerage District’s Industrial Pretreatment Program publish a notice identifying all significant Industrial Users that have been in significant non-compliance with applicable sewer discharge regulations. The following companies were considered in significant non-compliance for the 2022 pretreatment year.
Industry: Tom’s of Maine
Violation: Zinc Exceedance
This company is newly permitted with the pretreatment program and is working diligently with the Sanford Sewerage District to bring all standards back into compliance.
