The Sanford family shelter’s new play equipment Built in a day: Thanks to a donation from a member of the community, the York County Shelter Program’s family emergency shelter in Sanford has a new play set for kids. Sanford Mainers Player Wins NECBL Batting Title

By Sam Bosney Catcher and first baseman Logan Poteet of the Sanford Mainers won the 2023 New England Collegiate Baseball League batting title. Poteet hit .347 in 101 at-bats this season (35 hits). He also led the Mainers in RBI (25) and was second in home runs (3).  The Mainers went 24-19 this season and finished second in the North Division.
