Gerald Louis “Jerry” Dunham, 101, of Sanford died peacefully in the care of the Maine Veterans’ Home in Scarborough on Saturday, September 2, 2023. Jordan Bissonnette ran for three touchdowns, and the Spartans scored 28 unanswered points after trailing 17-13 at halftime. Sanford took the lead for good when Tyler Pitman caught a 38-yard touchdown pass from Tanner McCann to make it 20-17. Wall Replica Attracts Many Visitors   

Story and photos by Lee Burnett The Wall That Heals, a three-quarter size replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington D.C., drew a steady stream of visitors as soon as it opened along Route 109 across from Walmart on Thursday. Among the visitors was Wayne Hutchins of Sanford, who found the name of his childhood friend Richard Glaude.
