Council Curtails Needle Exchange Program

Election Recount

Ballots cast in two Sanford-area House District races are scheduled to be recounted by hand in Augusta Thursday Nov. 21, according to Maine Secretary of State’s office. In the House District 141 race, incumbent Republican Lucas Lanigan and Democratic challenger Patty Kidder tied with 2,476 votes each. In the House District 142 race, incumbent Democrat Anne-Marie Mastraccio received 1,938 votes while Republican challenger Amy Bell received 1,874 votes, a 1.68 percent margin.
