A surprise blizzard of paper hearts plastered windows in downtown Sanford and Springvale Wednesday.The anonymous phantom carried on a Valentine’s Day tradition that started in Portland and has since jumped to other communities.The family of the late Kevin Fahrman encouraged others to honor his legacy by launching a website BeAKevin.com, where anyonecan download a simple red heart and become a Valentine phantom themselves.  Photo: City of Sanford
