Sanford Teen Ballerina in Victorian Nutcracker at SPAC

Holly Daze Weekend to Kick Off Christmas Season

Sanford will officially kick off the Christmas season on Friday, December 3 with the return of two great downtown events. The Holly Daze Parade will head down Main St. at 5:30 p.m., beginning from the area of York St. and ending at the Midtown Mall. Selfies With Sanford Scarecrows Contest Winners

by the Friends of Downtown There was some great competition among the 42 businesses and organizations that participated with scarecrows. We were blown away by all the creative entries. In the end, the judges declared a tie for first place, between the Oldtimers' Shop's rocking chair knitter and the Sanford Police Department's selfie-ready display, pictured above.
