Sanford’s Civil Air Patrol Squadron Flying High

The Civil Air Patrol is a nationwide non-profit organization of volunteers that serves as the civilian auxiliary of the U.S. Air Force. It is open to anyone age 12 and up, divided into Cadets (age 12-21) and Seniors (age 18+). While some members are military veterans and their families, many have no military experience. Scouting News: May 5, 2022

Girl Scout Troop 2085 from Sanford recently completed a baking competition to earn a baking badge that they designed themselves. This competition, held at the Sanford Elks Lodge, was the culmination of nearly two months of learning and teaching each other about baking.
