School Committee 1/3 Meeting Summary

The Sanford School Committee met January 3, 2022, with a late start due to a disciplinary hearing and a workshop on the audit. Organization Jonathan Mapes nominated Paula Cote as Chair. Changes to Covid SOP Will Keep More Kids in School

Changes to the Maine CDC’s Standard Operating Procedure for schools means Sanford students and staff who are close contacts of a positive Covid-19 case will no longer have to miss school to quarantine, as long as they have no Covid symptoms and have not tested positive for the virus. School Committee Meeting Summary

The Sanford School Committee met December 20, 2021. All members were present. The minutes of previous meetings were approved. There were no public comments or communications. Committee Reports Construction: Superintendent of Schools Matt Nelson reported that the arbitration between the School Department and subcontractors who worked on Sanford High School was held the previous week.
