On Friday, April 16, Sanford Police officers responding to a larceny/forgery/fraud call summonsed a 19-year-old Sanford resident on charges of theft by unauthorized taking or transfer, and theft by receiving stolen property. On Thursday, April 8, Sanford Police made three arrests. A 20-year-old Main St. resident was taken into custody on a warrant after a violation of protective order call. A 49-year-old resident of Old Orchard Beach was also arrested on a warrant after a disturbance call to Weeman St. in Springvale. On Friday, April 2, Sanford Police had to break out the handcuffs early. The first arrest, at 12:46 a.m., was of a 52-year-old Elm St. resident on an assault charge. Half an hour later, a domestic disturbance call resulted in the arrest of a 19-year-old Lebanon St. resident on a charge of domestic violence assault.
