The son of Donat and Rita (Prefontaine) Couture, he was born in Somersworth, NH, on Dec. 1, 1934. Ralph was born in South Paris, Maine on July 21, 1940, to Ralph and Clara (Roy) Chasse, Sr. He was employed for many years at Westcott Ford in Sanford where he worked as a mechanic and autobody repairman. Donald was a manager for A&P for 36 years and was a night manager for Walmart in Sanford before fully retiring. He and his wife Alice settled, after retirement, in a year-round home on Mousam Lake.
