The Rotary Club of Sanford-Springvale has been very busy lately. Earlier this month they distributed 6,000 masks to the Sanford Police and Fire Departments as well as Sanford Housing Authority, Sanford School Department and York County Shelters Program. And this past week they presented a check for $1,000 to Mike Ouellette of York County Shelter Programs, at the Food Pantry in Sanford. Vetted Maine is a family-owned medical cannabis dispensary and patient office located at 1609 Main Street.  The business is owned by Merideth Albert, a Nurse, and her mother, AnnMarie Fredericks, a Nurse Practitioner. The Sanford-Springvale YMCA is now open Sundays from 8:00 a.m. to noon. New Beginnings Christian Church will host a Thanksgiving Day Community Meal, open to all, at 5:00 p.m. on November 26. The Springvale Bureau of Motor Vehicles office will reopen on Monday, November 23. Hours of operation will be from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with phone lines open from 8:30 to 4:30. Please note that is Thanksgiving week, so the office will be closed Thursday and Friday in observance of the holiday.
