The Sanford-Springvale YMCA is now open Sundays from 8:00 a.m. to noon. New Beginnings Christian Church will host a Thanksgiving Day Community Meal, open to all, at 5:00 p.m. on November 26. News Notes: November 12

The Springvale Bureau of Motor Vehicles office will reopen on Monday, November 23. Hours of operation will be from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with phone lines open from 8:30 to 4:30. Please note that is Thanksgiving week, so the office will be closed Thursday and Friday in observance of the holiday. The Depot in Springvale is now selling non-ethanol gas at a few of its pumps. The Trafton Center is offering Apple, Blueberry or Pumpkin Pies for  Thanksgiving, handmade in the Trafton kitchen. $15 each. Order by 11/18 for pick up between noon and 3 PM on 11/25. Partners Bank recently announced its sponsorship of an exhibition at the Ogunquit Museum of American Art (OMAA) during the museum’s 2020 season. The Bank’s pledge of $10,000 is funding the exhibition Light Southerly: Henry Strater in Verde Valley, which has been on view since July 1. There's still time to see it, as it continues through October 31. News Notes: Fundraisers and Reopenings

Sanford Firefighters Association Local 1624 is selling t-shirts and face masks to raise money for cancer research/prevention/treatment again this year. Proceeds stay in our local community. Shirts are $15 each or $20 for 2XL and larger. Masks are $5. These can be purchased at Central Fire Station (outside in the parking lot and distance with masks) or directly from Mikini in Sanford.
