York County Community Action has extended its free transportation for essential needs like shopping, medical appointments and getting to work, through January 31, 2022. YCCAC is doing its part to keep riders and drivers safe, including requiring drivers to wear masks when any passengers are on board, having a barrier between the driver and the passenger entrance, requiring that all passengers wear masks, and offering a free mask to anyone who needs one. There are seats for City Council, School Committee, Water District Trustee and Sewer District Trustee on the ballot, as well as three statewide referendum questions. City Hall is open Friday, October 29, until 5:00 p.m. for in-person absentee voting in the Council Chambers on the third floor.
