The Transfer Station's new hours of operation will begin Tuesday, August 23. It will be open Tuesday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., and Saturday 7:30 a.m. to noon. The Sanford Elks will hold a car wash and bake sale on Saturday, August 20 in the NAPA Auto Parts parking lot. All proceeds benefit mental health awareness and suicide prevention. The new grand entry and ticket booth at Alumni Stadium are progressing nicely. The contractor is awaiting the finishing materials (windows, roofing and sign) to get it all finished. The Sanford Alumni Association has sponsorship opportunities available to support their ongoing efforts on projects like these. York County Community Action Corp.'s Transportation program is pleased to announce that new bus stop signs are being installed along bus routes in and around Sanford. The Transportation program has been working with the City of Sanford on this project for several months. City personnel are installing the signs on city-owned property; YCCAC will partner with businesses at our other stops to have the signs put up by YCCAC Facility staff.
