Governor Mills has announced a new $40 million economic recovery grant program to support Maine tourism, hospitality, and retail small businesses. Sanford Growth Council Update

James Nimon, Director of the Sanford Growth Council, gave his quarterly report to the City Council at their October 20 meeting. He had updates on several projects. New Flight School Opening at Airport

A new flight school, BDF Air, is coming to the Sanford Seacoast Regional Airport. The school will offer training and certification to pilots who want to fly multi-engine aircraft. The company’s Beechcraft Duchess plane will be housed in the former city hangar. Airport Manager Allison Navia told the City Council’s Property Subcommittee on Tuesday that BDF Air will fit in well with the Airport’s other offerings.
