Local businesses are getting in the holiday spirit! This year, Garnsey Brothers Insurance wanted to do something special for area families in need. They purchased 150 Christmas gifts for local families (see photo above), and contacted the Salvation Army to help them “play Santa.” Warren’s Office Supplies and the Kiwanis Club were also recognized for their donations to the Sanford Police Department’s Christmas program.
The Sanford Mainers recently announced that Joe Skinner has been named Director of Broadcasting & Media for the 2021 season. Mr. Skinner is currently a senior at Penn State University, where he will graduate in May 2021 with a major in broadcast journalism and a certificate in sports journalism. “I am so honored to bring baseball back to the Sanford airwaves in 2021,” he said. “I can’t wait to get to Maine and begin to connect with the passionate fans and share the stories of the hard-working players on the 2021 Mainers.” Read the entire press release here.
