Sanford Parks & Recreation is sponsoring Winterfest on Saturday, February 13 from 7:30 a.m. to noon, with tons of activities for the whole family.
The celebration kicks off with a free Youth Ice Fishing Derby on Number One Pond. Register from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. and fish until 11:00 a.m.
There will be free sledding/tubing at Gowen Park and ice skating on the pond too. They even have extra skates you can use!
The Winterfest BBQ will be held from 10:00 to noon at Number One Pond near the ice fishing set up, with free hot dogs, chips, hot chocolate and coffee.
Not the outdoorsy type? Go bowling at Bowl-a-Rama or visit the Art Contest “Jr Duck Stamp” Display to see the entries by Sanford kids.
